Ikusasa Lethu Self Help Group (SHG) increases production

Ikusasa Lethu Self Help Group (SHG) members have since doubled their sheep production income after winning an input voucher worth USD$2500 at the Hand in Hand Zimbabwe Gwanda district Market Linkages Competition.

After clinching the MLP prize, the 7 group members managed to build a sheep fold and purchase 30 sheep, including a male dorper breed. They also purchased sheep feed and vaccines.

Over the past 12 months (from March 2021) they have managed to realise a profit of ZAR59100 from their sheep sales.

“We have managed to expand our business, pay school fees for our children, and buy household goods from our profits,” said Rachel Ngulube

“We are happy to be part of this project as it has empowered us financially,” she added.”
